Welcome, changemakers, truth-tellers, and creatives.
This zine is an offering—born from the collective energy of the Summit for Action, an annual gathering of passionate individuals and organizations committed to equity, justice, and environmental liberation. Through workshops, panels, storytelling, and community care, we explore what it means to create a more inclusive and sustainable world.
In our 2024/2025 Community of Practice, we asked:
What legacy do we want to leave behind?
How can we empower others to engage in the tough, necessary conversations around climate justice and equity?
The answer is this: a Zine-Style Toolkit for Tough Conversations.
This collaborative publication will blend art, personal stories, and practical tools to help people everywhere engage in difficult but transformative dialogue around environmental justice, social inequity, and climate disruption. It’s for educators and activists, introverts and orators, emerging leaders and seasoned changemakers. It’s for anyone who’s ever wanted to speak up—but didn’t know how.
Whether your gift is poetry or photography, resource-sharing or rage-writing, we want your voice. This zine will be distributed both digitally and in print at the 2025 Summit for Action—and we hope it becomes something people carry with them in their backpacks, meetings, and hearts.
Let’s make something beautiful, together.
