Summit for Action is a 2 day event for thought-provoking discussions and solutions-based recommendations for Justice, Equity, Diversity, Accessibility and Inclusion.
Over the last few weeks we have witnessed an explosive national conversation around justice, equity and inclusion. The scenes of protest have laid bare the struggle for racial equity in America. Cities are proving that progress is possible when dialogues are sustained over time and a wide range of stakeholders are included to create opportunities for healing. We must use this moment to galvanize a greater sense of urgency and a greater sense of community solidarity. The Summit for Action model brings together a variety of community leaders and key stakeholders to develop shared understanding around the steps needed to inspire and drive social change around Equity, Accessibility and Inclusion issues. The vision of Summit for Action is to be a catalyst for action that creates a more equitable world. This is done through facilitating dialogue and creating cross-sector partnerships to tackle these complex social problems. Summit for Action is brought to you through a partnership with Denver Arts & Venues, Ecoinclusive, CAEE, The Wilderness Society, cityWild and Lacy Consulting. This year, the summit will be held virtually. This event facilitates thought-provoking discussions and provides solutions-based recommendations for Justice, Equity, Diversity, Accessibility and Inclusion in organizations. Summit for Action brings together leaders and key stakeholders, and features a mix of planned conference sessions and facilitated group deep dives intended to help organizations build diverse workplaces and increase community impact. The Summit will host local thought leaders on equity, diversity and inclusion who will engage in dialogue and agenda-building sessions. There will also be small group sessions and opportunities for collaboration to design real world solutions. |
